Our Impact

As of December 2024:

70 young people have begun receiving support from The Wave

​

86% of young people are on track to complete, or have completed, our support offering

​

80% of goals set by young people were achieved or had progress made towards them during their time being supported

​

Outside of the goals set by young people at the beginning of their support, those who have completed the offer of support have collectively achieved 526 positive outcomes in the following areas:

Health & Fitness

Including Sexual Health, reduction in drug/ alcohol use, dental and medical, and physical wellbeing.

Financial Independence

Including creating and following budgets, clearing debt, learning about money management and clearing debt.

Personal Relationships & Children

Including improving healthy relationships with children, family and in the community, and recognising and reporting unhealthy, exploitative or abusive relationships.

Self-confidence, Identity & Resilience

Including healthy coping skills, understanding self-identity and identifying long-term aspirations.

Employment, Education & Training

Including engaging with DWP, taking steps towards employment and entering education, employment and training.

Housing & Accommodation

Including avoiding evictions/ placement breakdowns, securing safe and stable housing and improving living conditions.

Professional Relationships & Support Systems

Including referrals to, and improved attendance and engagement with, wider services.

Legal, Police & Courts

Including engaging with probation services, attending court and reduction in criminal activity/ missing episodes.
